In our first installment of Data Removal, we attempted to ask Dribble to remove our personal data. Dribbble is the leading destination to find & showcase creative work and home to the world’s best design professionals.

We submitted a written email requesting that all of our data be removed. In under 24 hours, here is the reply we received.

Response from Dribble:

Hi there,
To export your data, when signed in, head to your account settings and click “export data” from the sidebar.

To delete your account, navigate back to the “profile” section of your account settings. On that page you’ll find a “Delete Your Account” button at the bottom of the page next to “Update Settings.” This will remove all of your data. Please keep in mind that once an account is deleted it cannot be restored.

I also recommend that you unsubscribe from all emails in your account
settings under the “email notifications” tab before deleting your account.
For security reasons, we’re unable to do this on your behalf.

Have a good day,

Dribble

Result: We went to the profile section and followed the instructions with no issue except that it says Close Account vs. Delete Your Account.
