What’s a Product Anyways? Of course this website is focused on delivering Products that make people happy. So when we say “product”, what exactly do we mean? Obviously an iPhone or Samsung S9 (that was for my co-worker Chris) are clear products. But what about a dating app or college math class or pencil lead?

According to Google, a Product is defined by: an article or substance that is manufactured or refined for sale. Hmm. I have heard some people say that anything that requires an agile or waterfall process is a product. Hmmm again.

The best definition I have read so far is from Mike Cohn: “I define a product as something (physical or not) that is created through a process and that provides benefits to a market.”

So given this new definition, what’s a product anyways — to you? Let me know which of the items below qualify for you and feel free to comment.
